Sony's Bravia Cam offers additional functionality for your compatible 2022 model year Sony TV - from features to improve your viewing experience to adding the option of video chat with friends and family right from your TV!

Sony's CMU-BC1 can be used to offer the best possible viewing experience using Ambient Optimisation Pro - detecting where in the room you're sitting and adjusting picture and sound to optimise it for your position. As a result, your viewing experience becomes more immersive, with picture brightness adjusted to suit accordingly.

Parents of young children can use Bravia Cam to help ensure that children sit a suitable distance from the TV when watching. If they get too close to the screen, then the TV will display a warning message overlay. Bravia Cam also enables you to add gesture control to your TV - letting you change channels, adjust volume and more without the need for the remote control. It can also add extra energy saving functionality to your TV - when it detects that you aren't present in the room, it will dim the TV display, returning to normal brightness settings when it oncer again detects you in the room. There is also a camera cover switch on Bravia Cam, allowing you to hide the lens when you want to ensure your privacy.
