Boxing Day sales are traditionally seen as one of the busiest retail days in the calendar so it’s very unusual to see a large retail business choosing not to open on Boxing Day.
However, that is exactly what we do and will do again this year, favouring family time for our staff over an extra day of trading and opening our 9 stores for business.
Our Director Chris Hemmerle “There are 363 other days in the year for shopping and we feel that Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are the most important days to spend with family and friends. We close our doors early on Christmas Eve and they don’t open again until the 27th December. Our sale prices are live online from Christmas Day but no orders will be processed and the shops won’t be open until the 27th”
“We’re aware that this decision will cost us business, however, we think it’s more important to try and promote the idea of family time. Time is valuable and this year, more than ever, people haven’t been able to spend as much time together so we really want to give our staff and customers the opportunities to make the most of it”
The sales have been planned weeks in advance and we can guarantee that the products, offers and prices will still be the same a day later and customers will not miss out on any offers or deals.
So what’s in store? All we can say is that customers will be blown away this year!
Despite global stock challenges and rising costs we’re confident that there will still be great value around and we’d recommend large screen TV’s as a particular area to keep an eye on. “We’re seeing the best value we’ve ever seen on large screen and supersize TV’s with prices on 70”+ starting from under £700”. Other than that you can always rest assured that our prices will be as good as or better than our competitors and internet retailers and we’ll provide a friendly, local service that you can’t get anywhere else.”
Merry Christmas from all at HBH Woolacotts
